
Round or Javanese or white cardamoms are the fruits of the Amomum compactum plant that still has a close relation to the Zingiberaceae family and are mostly produced on Java Island.
The main ingredients in Javanese cardamom’s essential oil are cineol, terpineol, and borneol which have a distinctive taste and aroma, which is a bit spicy with a fresh citrus-like scent, fragrant, and give a warm sensation.
This cardamom is mainly used as a food and beverages flavoring agent, in the cosmetic industry, perfume industry, and pharmaceutical purposes.
